Third Corps Maneuvers, Twenty-Eighth Tank Division of Pennsylvania.
PENN TANKS INVADE CONFEDERATE SOIL. Confederates who successfully defended their cause on the historic battlefield of Bull Run probably turned over in their graves, Aug. 5, as the 28th Tank Division of Pennsylvania prepared their rumbling monsters for the Third Corps Area maneuvers near the scenic site of the Civil War Battle. Note the tent city in background. Nearby Manassass Va., was crowded with Army troops and equipment enroute to the site of the maneuvers. August 5, 1939
